2018 Sangiovese Paso Robles California 14.3% alcohol 

A very smooth wine with aromas of cherry, thyme & pepper converge on the nose of this bottling. The palate shows a lot of sandalwood & cedar, giving some depth to the baked red-cherry,lush blackberry,rhubarb & plum flavors. Partner Winemaker Alex Larson, 1982 graduate of California Culinary Academy is very proud of the wine made with this famous Italian varietal Sangiovese, the same grape that is used to make Chianti.  This is the more expensive more elegant cousin of Chianti.  The maternal grandparents Balanesi Family is from Nothern Italy Lucca Tuscany & Genoa.
